Better Late than Never....

Good to see you again Blogger.  I've missed you but it seems like my life has been "crazy" again and I've neglected you once again.  We've finally got back into a schedule or at least we are headed into that direction and I can sit down peacefully a couple of times a month and update my family or my friends or for my children's benefit when they are older and know that their mom did remember stuff about their childhood.  I have a horrible memory and don't remember alot about my own childhood!  It drives my mom crazy!  Anyways...since I don't have all night long I'm going to list what we have been up to lately!

  • Moved into a beautiful new home
  • MM started sitting up @ Gaga's house, crawling a little @ Gaga's and moved into our house and then took off
  • MM is also pulling up now and we've figured out that she is going to be just as busy as T (here comes my grey hair soon)
  • MM had a trip in an ambulance to Vanderbilt the first week in our new house
  • MM is right on track with T and is off the charts for height and weight.  She may even be bigger than he was at 6 months!
  • MM has her two bottom teeth now and one top tooth (poor baby & poor Mama)
  • T has really turned into a big boy!  It makes me sad and I'm not ready for him to be 3.
  • We found a new church that also has a MDO for T to attend!
  • T started his new school!  We pray its as great as his last school!
  • We had a great time at the beach for MM and T's Uncle's wedding!
  • My dad built a beautiful new deck.  I'm so happy with it and I hope to have a beautiful pergola one day soon.
We are getting to celebrate T's Bday soon so I should be updating again soon.  Here are just a few pictures....

T and MM's Summer Destination

Since we have sold our house we are currently living with my parents.  You read that correctly...We are living with my parents!  :)  I'm actually loving it because I have tons of help with the babies.  I have three extra people on hand 75% of the time to help me.  I need that help because I'm trying to potty train T.  That's a whole other post though.  We have put another offer on a house but its a short sale so it's gonna take a while to go thru IF it does.  We didn't realize how difficult buying a short sale was gonna be and we have already been very stressed and it's only been a week! I think it will be worth it if we get this house though.  We both love it, T loves it, parents approve, great school systems, etc...  The realtors involved tell us that typically this process takes 60 to 90 days so we will be in the Hill till we pack up and move again.  T couldn't be happier.  He gets to go feed the horsies, ride his Jeep, pushing his dump truck all over the place, ride his bike, dig in the dirt, and play with his cousins all the time.  He does get sad around night time and asks to go home.  Which makes me super sad because he doesn't understand what I'm trying to tell him.  He keeps asking for his Choo Choo table also which is in storage.  We have already gone to the river, ballgames, and swimming so far.  He even got to get inside a  REAL fire truck!!!!  I'm not sure if he will ever want to leave here.  I'll keep updating on the house situation but for now we just wait on the bank to get there big APPROVED OR NOT APPROVED stamp out...I guess!  :)

Sold!

Here's T at his 1st Bday Party!  We had so much fun that day!

I haven't posted in about two weeks because I haven't had time to sit down!  We've been busy as worker bees with packing, driving, packing, driving, and finally signing the papers!  We did it...we sold our house!  We closed on Wednesday and my family has been sweet to keep the kiddos while we were moving or cleaning.  The day before Memorial Day we moved all day took the kids to Mama's and Cookie's put them to bed and then went back to the house and cleaned till 1:30 in the morning.  We cleaned that place from top to bottom.  On the way home we were talking about how sad we were and I made B read my blog.  He never reads it and he got even more sad.  Sadness mixed with happiness because selling was truly a miracle.  It was listed for 74 days total which is AMAZING considering the market along with almost 11 properties in our subdivision that were very similiar.  My daddy did a great job with painting and adding a new light fixture and I think that is what set us apart.  We also kept it super clean when we showed it which was really hard.  Have you met my son?  Seems like there is peanut butter and jelly stickiness on everything I own.  But...It's done! It's bittersweet but I'm very excited about the possibility of a new homes with new memories, new friends, and a fresh start to routines, etc...

Success!

T has been going to Speech Therapy since November 2011.  When he first started the Speech Therapist seemed very concerned about his speech.  We obviously did also since I initiated the therapy on my own. Our pedatrician wasn't as concerned as I was but I just felt he wasn't on the same level with his speech as his friends.  The ped. said it was because he is so advanced physically and usually boys that develop physically will be later speaking, etc.  He has always been great at climbing, pushing, heaving, etc but everything I read said that he should have a vocabulary of 50 plus words at 2 years old.  He maybe had 20 words and I was including sounds when I counted his words.  We started going in November once a week to Ms. Holly (which T finally started saying her name and pronounces it Ms. Hottee) she really likes  him!  Ha!  He has made leaps and bounds with his progression.  I'm sooo excited for him.  He is imitating everything I say now (which can be tricky-I have several stories) and saying his words so good.  I'm very thankful for Ms. Holly and the opportunity to go.  We are gonna take a break this summer and his last session was Friday.  She said that he was meeting all of his goals that she set for him. He now can say all of the names of his choo-choo's that he has known all along but couldn't get them out!  We will come back in the fall and make sure that our p,b, and m sounds are good (that's our homework for the summer). Yay T!

Here are a few of T's sayings lately:
I do, Daddy...I do
I'm so dizzy (in the cutest, country voice ever)
he tells us to wait or that he's busy
if we are pulling into a restaurant or somewhere he wants to go he will say...I want to go riiiight there
I want to seep with my mommie

Love my boy!

Mama's Day 2012

This is the best Mama's day yet!  I got to celebrate two days this year- on Thursday with T at his school for Munchies with Mom, and on Sunday with T, MM, B and my Mama & Daddy!  T got me some M&M's that he picked out all by himself, the biggest card ever, and B helped by getting some gift certificates for some of my favorite things!  Also, today was the Baby Dedication at our church so we got to celebrate the birth of MM and have our church pray over her.  It was a special day!  :)  My parents brought BBQ and we ate then me and Mama went shopping!  Thanks Mama for putting up with me for 30 years.  Love you!

T and me @ Munchies with Mom!

T's Teacher and MM!  I looove his teachers so much!

MM's Baby Dedication

Look at that pretty girl!

MM was so sleepy afterwards.  She took a nap on GaGa.  She is the best baby ever!

I'm most thankful for these two babies!  I can't describe how much I love them.  I may look worn out, stressed out, and tired but I love them so much it hurts.  T is a handful but I wouldn't have it any other way.  He makes me laugh so much and MM seems to have come into our lives this year and made her place in our hearts like she has been there all along.  Thank you Jesus for these 2 blessings and letting me be their Mama!

Home Updates

We had the inspection on Friday and we are even closer to the closing date!  However; we do have to spend some money in order to repair those items that needed attention.  So this next week we will have several different companies coming out to the house which is always fun with nap time and a crazy two and a half year old that likes to climb in the attic when the door is open!  Hopefully, we will take care of that checklist and move on to the next step.  I'm not sure if that is the appraisal or what but I'm ready for it!

Here is T waiting on his Daddy to come home in 2010.  He wasn't yet a year old but he still knew how much he loooved when Daddy came home.  He still waits like that and I hope he always will.  He gets so excited and I think his love of cars and trucks started this way.  We've had so many memories and I'm hoping to list them all by the time we close.  I want to remember this house always...it's our first house as newlyweds, where our babies were born, etc but here's to new memories in a new house!

A Ball of Nervousness...

We have our house for sale right now.  It hasn't been on the market that long considering the real estate market.  We've had lots of lookers and we have sooo much baby stuff everywhere which meant that we would throw everything that resembled a toy or baby item into my van.  We wanted the potential buyer to visualize themselves living there.  We had my Dad come and repaint the whole downstairs, put in a new light fixture, install new hardware on the kitchen cabinets, repaint the baseboards, take out majority of T's toys and take them to my mom's and put the dining room table and hutch back.  It's been very stressful for me.  B hasn't gotten that stressed out and he is usually the one who worries about stuff.  I don't know why I stress about it so much.  It's totally out of my hands and we have done everything we know to do.

That being said we got an offer over the weekend and the buyer accepted our counteroffer.  So now we wait for the inspection, appraisal, and closing date (which is very soon).  All of this is great news but it could also fall through and I hate not being in control.  I love our house but it is too small-I would like a room for MM, a yard for T, a garage for both of our cars, a laundry room, and a swing to swing on!  But...if it does fall through then we will be okay and start over again with putting everything in my van and going to Babies R 'Us for hours while lookers look or my mom's house.

It's fun to start looking for new houses but we are blessed abundantly with our babies, marriage, and health so it's silly to be disappointed, right?  I need to keep that in mind this week.  Remember what's important and re-read this blog!

Just one of the memories from our house...

Beautiful snow in January 2010.  I can remember rocking T in the middle of the night the snow fell and looking out his window watching it cover the cars and road.  It was so pretty that night.  I will always remember that night thinking how I needed to remember this when he gets too big for me to hold.  I love my little boy!
