15 Months...

I apologize for not having a picture to go along with this post but I'm EXHAUSTED.  I haven't blogged in like two weeks and I need to update you on T.  This blogging thing takes energy and I don't have alot of it these days.  Thanksgiving wiped me out.  Lots of food+packing+every weekend filled with activities for the holidays=being behind on everything!!!  I've finally caught up on our laundry and deep cleaned the house.  I know that I only have one child but I do laundry for a husband that changes multiple times a day. Whew...I'm glad to be done.  Now only if we can be naked for the rest of the week so it won't back up again!  :)  Just kidding!  Anyways....this post is just for T (well after this sentence).

What's T up to...
-Scaring Mama and Dada (actually scaring us)  He will walk out of his room at bedtime and almost close the door leaving about two fingers in the door....and open it and say AHH...AHHH...AHHH along with shaking his head.  We get real scared and he cracks up!
-has become OBSESSED with Thomas the Train.  I'm not even sure how this happened but he has fallen in love with Thomas (choo choo is what he calls him).  He makes this crazy, crazy face and starts either running in place or dancing up and down.  A dance, and a dance, and a dance!
-Loves to throw his ball (its a Thomas ball)
-He can finally go down the stairs on his belly by hisself.  This took a long time to teach but he finally has it.  It helps me out ALOT because I don't have to carry him down the stairs.  He just sits on his bottom backs up and scoots very fast down them.
-Speaking of carrying T...he will NOT help you carry him.  My mom, sister and mama in law have pointed this out.  Most other babies will help you out by holding themselves up a little.  Not T.  Just dead weight.  30 lbs. of dead weight!
-Loves when his dada comes home!  He gets so excited and knows when he pulls up...his truck is just a little loud.
-Can look for his sippy cup and find it!  He is the cutest thing in the world looking for it.  He puts his hands on his knees and moves his head from side to side all around the living room and kitchen.  He will eventually find it by pointing at the direction of it with his two fingers.  Everything is two fingers and a thumb.
-He is sticking with the few words he knows.  Dada, cacka (cracker), choo choo and ah-choo.  Sometimes he says Mama but not directly for me.  He also can say Gaga for my mom which is really close to cacka.  I want my Christmas present to be him saying Mama to me.  Why is it that Dada gets all the excitement and I do everything for the tiny and he refuses to even say my name???  Mama's always get the scraps!  haha!
-He is eating pretty much everything that we do...except spicy stuff.  Oatmeal for Breakfast, Grilled Cheese and Banana for Lunch, and Veggies, Chicken Nuggets and Applesauce for Dinner is what he usually loves.  Sometimes I will depart from my eating schedule for him.  Sometimes.  Poor thing but he sure isn't ever missing a meal and for the most part he eats really well.  I don't have to bribe him to eat veggies!
-Finally...he is sleeping in his own bed again!  Thank goodness!
-He loooves Christmas lights.  We did put our tree up but without any ornaments.  I didn't want to fight him for a month over it.  He can still enjoy it and dada even put up outside lights!
-He looves music and dancing.  No matter the song.  Just a good beat!
-Is drooling and teething like crazy.  He has gigantic teeth coming in.  3 of them.  Not sure if they are for sure molars or not but they are big.  And they are so swollen and red.  I've been giving him a teether from the freezer and he bites it like he is eat a steak.
-Shhh...he hasn't bitten me in like two weeks.  Since Thanksgiving when he decided he wanted to bite my right in the rear while I was watching a movie.  Maddy got a good laugh out of that one!
-I think that is all my fingers can type right now.  It's so fun being with T and getting to be with him as he discovers all these new things.  He has the best personality and smile.  Fun and crazy all the time!  I'm very blessed to be his mama!

Family pictures...

After our Harry Potter date we went to Opryland Hotel to take some pictures for our Christmas card.  It was beautiful like always and I'm so thankful they re-opened in time for Christmas!  The only thing we didn't like was the monster prices for parking!  18 bucks!  We couldn't find the spot that we usually park for free and walk over.  They had everything blocked off so we paid it!  :(  I know they have got to get their money back from all the re-building but GEEZ!  We took several pictures and T loved climbing on all the stairs.  He looooves the Christmas lights.  We take him to Home Depot several times a week to look at the lights.  Redneck?  Maybe....   I'm not posting pics of our Christmas shots because I want our family members to be surprised!  I know ya'll just can't wait!

The Deathly Hallows...

B and I didn't celebrate on the day of our Anniversary so we waited until Friday to go watch Harry Potter.  It was AMAZING!  I've read all the books and have been a fan for a long time.  B only watches the movies but he really likes them.  It was wonderful to get out of the house and go on a mini date.  The best part of the movie was the couple behind us that we're probably around 80.  The wife was really irritated that their were children in the theater.  She was talking very loudly about how they should be in school.  Her husband was HILARIOUS...very crabby and told her to AHHH....forget about it.  When the movie finally started and any funny part came along she would ask her husband...Why are they laughing???  Then she would state that it wasn't funny.  Oh...I also forgot that she looked like Uncle Leo from Seinfeld when Elaine painted eyebrows on him.  Since they were very elderly they had to use the bathroom ALOT (or as much a B).  Everytime they got up it was like we were watching a train wreck.  They would fall everytime they got up!!!  B actually caught the man and helped him out of the theater at the end.  I'm not sure why they thought that day...HMM....what should we do today?  Let's go see Harry Potter!  Had they watched all the other movies?  Or did they just get done with a doctor's appt. and randomly choose Harry Potter?  Very strange...but very amusing!  :)

Happy Anniversary, B!  Love you very much!  Hope we make it until we're 80, crabby, with small bladders and go see a movie that we think isn't funny!

jingle bells...

After our fiasco last week, H and I tried shopping again...in a more child friendly enviroment!  The mall!  It was much better experience.  We both got some Christmas shopping done and also let the boys play together.  The mall has a GREAT place for little ones.  It is very toddler-friendly with almost like a trampoline floor and even a rubberized slide.  T cannot hurt himself no matter how much he falls.  T is growing up like a weed!  We first took him there around 10 months.  I thought he was much too little to be there.  He can now climb up the steps and turn around on his belly and slide down by his-self!  I love it!  B-man also had a blast and thought he was a BIG BOY!  I am thankful for friends who keep you sane with little outings like that!  It makes all the difference in the world to a Mama!

Christmas Village

It is strange that I went Christmas shopping today and it feels like a day at the beach?  I was sweating to death and people had on turtlenecks, sweaters, and Ugg boots.  My friend H and her little boy B-Man went to Christmas Village today.  Not a place you take children.  We didn't get the memo.  T was having a fit because he wanted to get out and we finally let him out and where did he run to?  The Men's bathroom and straight for a plunger!!  You know that plunger was disgusting...it was a fairgrounds plunger that has been used several thousand times.  Thankfully, I got to him in enough time that he didn't touch it.  I may have lost my mind if he did.  I bet I ran over so many peoples heels and I got so many dirty looks for being there with my baby!  Geez...I wish I would have known.  Also, I was feeling no so good after chasing T and it being so hot that I bought a water and a hotdog.  Almost 7 bucks and the hotdog was cold.  It hadn't been cooked.  I threw it away!  So sorry to H and B-Man who had a great time.  The Stennis' weren't happy campers.  But it was beautiful...so if you don't have kids then go or leave yours at home!!!

Biting...

Did I mention that T has trouble with biting!?  Oh my goodness!  Can you buy muzzles for toddlers?  T has now bit another little boy.  No one will ever want to play with us now that we have a biter on our hands.  We have got to get this under control and I don't know what to do.  Our pedatrician suggested that we pull him away from us and in a very stern voice say...NO BITING!  We are also supposed to hold his arms down for about 30 seconds or so.  This isn't working.  He laughs at us everytime.  I have also spanked him and that didn't work.  He laughs.  Why is it so funny?  He is definitely ruling over both of us. We aren't in charge at all!  I need help.  He tries to bite us in public and I can barely hold him because its like holding a crocodile on your hip.   He is squirming and trying to get down and then biting.  It makes me feel very defeated!  If you have any advice let me know.  I know that his teeth do hurt.  He has several coming in but he is doing it for attention, also.  Help me.....

CMA Party...

B finally got invited to an actual event in Nashville!  It only took 10 years, but it was worth it.  Our names were on a list and it was a BIG deal to us.  Maybe not to everyone else that has become used to going to those events but it was pretty cool to us.  We sat outside on this beautiful deck that overlooked downtown and had beverages and adult conversation!  No spit up on me, no ravioli stains, and no bite marks on my shoulder (T has a biting problem)!  It was wonderful.  Jason Aldean sang an awesome song with Kelly Clarkson and Miranda Lambert won several awards!  She is my favorite and so down to earth.  I think we will be friends one day.  :)  T spent the night with his Cookie (his aunt) and it was very strange to go home and him not be there.  I cleaned the bathroom the next day that I have been waiting to clean for weeks (I needed alot of time) so when I finally got to it-it was DISGUSTING.  Thanks to B and him trimming his facial hair all over the place.  It makes me want to pull my hair out!!!!  When I finally picked T up he gave me a big smile and hugged me really tight!  And went in for a bite... My sister said he hadn't tried to bite all weekend.  Why in the world does he want to bite me?  I guess he was punishing me for leaving him for the night...

Sweet Caroline...

I'm a bit behind (imagine that) on my blog...ALREADY!  But, I'm gonna update you anyways.  Last weekend B went out of town so me and my Mama went shopping.  We haven't done that in a LONG time so it was lots of fun.  We got the biggest dressing room @ Belk and T had a blast looking in the mirror, taking all the wipes out of the container, and most important....pooping!  I changed his diaper and took the diaper out of Belk and went back in the dressing room and it stunk up the whole place.  Your welcome, Belk.

Also, it was my nieces birthday so we celebrated and went to Logan's.  It was delicious and C and C got tiny, mini desserts.  I also spent the night with my sister and the birthday girl and T destroyed their house,  like always.  He will destroy her computer and printer one day very soon.  The girls tortured him.  It was a great weekend minus my car deciding to not go over 40 mph on the way home.  I had to turn around and have my mom drive me back home and to the grocery store.  Fun, huh?

Throw Up+No Hot Water=Stinky T and Mama

Finally-got a new hot water heater thanks to B and my daddy.  They worked hard all day on Wednesday and got it up and running late that night!  Showering this morning felt WONDERFUL!  T got sick on Tuesday night and we had to bathe with Pampers wipes for a day and a half!  Yuck.  The new water heater  is beautiful and even better T had a blast in the box that it came in!  He scooted that box around everywhere.  Here are a few pictures of T in his castle!

This is so much fun!

Seriously...I'm done playing.  Get me out!

I think I will just sit down and ....

cry...Poor baby!  :(

Today- me and T went on our weekly date to Cracker Barrel. He loves looking at people and since alot of the customers are elderly they give him so much attention!  He loves it.  He is never is facing me.  He is usually turned around sideways and staring at someone until they will pay attention to him.  After our date we headed to the park to play and play and play since we were cooped up all day watching Bear in the Big Blue House (my nieces favorite show from about 10 years ago) , we needed to get out some energy!  That wind was cold but we had a blast!

I Ain't Ready To Quit

That definitely should be B's theme song!  He has been trying for not 5 years...10 YEARS to become a "Songwriter" in Nashville. He has finally achieved a dream that is near impossible in this town.  He has also worked as a Waiter, Car Detailer, and finally a Personal Trainer all while pursuing writing.  I'm BEYOND proud of him.  I would have given up after 6 months but he kept on truckin'!  So...today Jason Aldean's album came out today with Ben's song that he co-wrote with his buddies Jaron and Thomas.  They have been celebrating all weekend and today they headed over to Wal-Mart to pick up a couple hundred copies!  This is a huge deal!  Our friends Jaron and Kelly made a very special t-shirt to celebrate this day!  It had Jason Aldean's picture on the front with the title of the song, and Stennis on the back along with the number of the song.  Great photo opportunities for years to come, huh?  Nope.  I forgot to bring my camera because our hot water heater decide to leak everywhere right before we were supposed to leave.  I had to turn off the main water valve, turn off the breakers, suck all the water up with the shop vac before I left for this moment that we have been waiting for.  Thankfully...phones take amazing pictures these days! Oh...and about the water heater.  The company that has smiley faces on their trucks were gonna charge us $1150 bucks!  Boo!  We are gonna be without hot water until we get it fixed tomorrow!  Go out and buy Jason Aldean's CD!

Scramble...

Scramble:  to move hastily and with urgency.  That pretty much sums up my life.  I have always wanted to start a blog and have beautiful pictures of my life for the world to see...BUT even though I claim to be organized...I'm not.  I have always been late everywhere I go-rushing around like a crazy person about to have an anxiety attack.  Are we late to church...YES.  Did I buy store bought cupcakes for a party because I didn't prepare and bake them the night before...YES.  Is my hair in a ponytail because I didn't wash it...YES.  Does my sister lie to me everytime I have to be somewhere and tell me it starts an hour before it actually does...YES.  It has gotten much worse since I've had T because now I have to take care of him.  Preparing his food for school...run to Sonic and buy a Grilled Cheese before school starts.  What kind of mom am I?  I'm me.  I can change it but I haven't yet so I'm starting this blog to document our lives and laugh years later about how crazy things were. I'm also a stay at home Mama to a happy, wild little boy who likes to bite me ALOT but we are working on that.  B is my husband who is busy a bee with working on his truck, writing, or working.  We are just the Stennis' trying to make it all work.  And it usually does...after lots of anxiety and craziness!
